Now that the AWA Women's title is the new HCW-PINK Women's title, will there be a new belt to replace the old one?(the old belt still have the AWA name on it.)

That's up to the belt's "destiny", but I would think that's the inevitable. It's too soon to tell right now. At the moment, the old name is "symbolic" of what it should have been accepted as, and wasn't. So, we will let that sink in for a moment. It is now "referred" to as the HCW belt. When people ask "why", it will always remind us of how it came about. THIS belt has a built in "history" (although, not as long as the "original"), and hard work which was NOT accepted by the alleged owner of the new AWA. So in short, through the "spirit" of wrestling", Hawai'i has opted to adopt and "house" it, but not change what it stood for. We will "live" with it for a while, and soak it up. However, sadly, change is sometimes inevitable... *If and when HCW management decides that the title has staying power here on the islands, and things "evolve" to go that route, we will retire the belt, and a new one will be made by the team of Rico Mann and Reggie Parks, and will go Hawaiian with it, like our other belts. ....However, for now, Japan's belt will not go to "waste" here in Hawai'i. Everything must have a natural transition, and not be disrespectful to the women in Japan/SUN at the same time. We are in full support of keeping it "alive", and would like to see where it will lead us "together". ;D We are in full "support" of the original AWA, and what that organization once stood for, (as well as the NWA), therefore, the name on there does not bother us, and it is a "reminder" of how the new AWA did not support women. It is no longer referred to as "that" belt, but we shouldn't forget that it's a "symbol" of what it was supposed to be. It carries the blood, sweat and tears of the women wrestlers that stood behind it, as they thought they were supporting "the" AWA, not realizing that the organization never did accept or recognize them or that tile. We are allowing that realization to sink in, but not necessarily dwell on it, as change is bound to happen. As small as we are, we look forward to a good 2008 with women, for HCW. Therefore, HCW has agreed to support and keep the rankings in tact for the women that helped build it. We wish everyone good luck in your future battles!!! ;D "This" belt means something (regardless of the name)...and the old name will always remind the women wrestlers to keep your chin up, and keep moving forward to brighter days, because things are already changing for women here in Hawai'i, anyway!!! ;D Please come back often and keep watching the evolution!.... YOU are witnessing "history" in the making!!!
