A crowd of well over 100 was on hand for HCW's second live show of 2007.
To begin the event, Shin Ku grabbed the microphone from Jeremy Strong and demanded an unusual match: all four members of Dragon Asylum Maui against Hawaiian Blood.
Ahuna agreed to the handicap match but added a stipulation of his own: the match would be an elimination match.
Despite the size and body count disadvantage, Hawaiian Blood showed their stuff: first by eliminating both junior members of D. A. M., then the Crusher, then finally Shin Ku to win the match. (time 20:12, ref. Jeremy the Axe)
The next match featured sometimes-allies, sometimes-enemies Big Daddy Frank and Kenjiro going against each other. It would have been interesting to see if Kenjiro's ruthlessness and sneakiness could overcome Big Daddy Frank's size and power advantage, but just after the five minute mark, the action went out of the ring to the floor. Despite his best efforts, the referee could not get the wrestlers back into the ring, so the match ended in a disappointing double countout. (time 5:37, ref. Jeremy the Axe)
After the decision was announced, referee Jeremy the Axe and Mr. Oki exchanged some heated words at ringside. Oki hit and shoved Jeremy, then realized his actions could result in a sizable fine and stormed back to the locker room.
The third match of the evening showcased the controversial Ma Hu Wong against the Maui giant Shin Ku. At first, Shin Ku was accompanied by the rest of the Dragon Asylum, but the referee ordered them back to the locker room. Shin Ku used his size advantage to its fullest and seemed to take his frustration at the opening match loss out on Wong. At the five minute mark, Shin Ku landed a powerful sidewalk slam and covered Ma Hu for the three count. (time: 5:04, ref. Jeremy the Axe)
After the intermission, there was a triple threat match for the HCW/AWA Hawaiian Inter-Island Championship: Crusher and Kaniala were challenging Mr. Spa Fitness for his title. The interesting part of a triple threat championship match is that a champion can lose his title without being pinned or submitting, and that is exactly what happened. After eight minutes of furious cut-throat action, Kaniala threw Mr. Spa Fitness out of the ring then clamped Morgan's Corner onto the Crusher. Crusher tried his best, but had to tap out from the excruciating pain, so Kaniala became the new Inter-Island champion without actually defeating the former champion Mr. Spa Fitness. (time 8:48, ref. Kazz)
After the result was announced, Mr. Spa Fitness grabbed a microphone and told Kaniala that he would take advantage of the rematch clause in his contract, so we can expect that match on February 10.
While Spa Fitness was screaming at Kaniala, a masked man jumped into the ring and hit Kaniala with a chair. Ahuna grabbed a microphone and scolded the mystery man for disrespecting the new champion. Ahuna called the mystery man a piece of crap, and ordered an immediate match between him and Kaniala. As soon as the bell rang, Kaniala hit the mystery man with the same chair, then unmaksed him to reveal ... referee Jeremy the Axe! Kaniala then clamped on a submission hold and Jeremy immediately tapped out.
Before the Main Event, the audience was treated to an awesome fire knife show, first with one knife, then amazingly with two blazing knives!
The Main Event pitted AWA World Heavyweight AND World Tag Team Champion Steve Corino, the "King of Old School," who was escorted to the ring by Mr. Oki (of all people), against "Mr. HCW" Kaimana, with Kaimana's HCW Kamehameha Heritage Title on the line.
Corino used every trick in his book, both clean and dirty, to try to take Kaimana's title from him, and couldn't do it. In fact, Kaimana had the advantage and was setting up a frog splash when Mr. Oki's underhanded plan kicked into gear. With the referee distracted, Kenjiro pushed Kaimana off of the top rope. Kaimana crashed into referee Kazz and sent him flying out of the ring and unconscious. The Dragon Asylum members and Kenjiro jumped into the ring and began pounding on Kaimana. They jumped out of the ring just as referee Jeremy got to the ring. Corino covered Kaimana but was only able to get a two count. A Corino clothesline again only got him a two count. Kaimana blocked an elbow and was able to set Corino up for the Kryptonite Krunch, but Kaimana was only able to get a two count before Corino kicked out at the very last instant. Kenjiro distracted referee Jeremy as Corino hit Kaimana with a low blow. Seeminly frustrated, Corino threw referee Jeremy out of the ring, where Kenjiro began working him over. Corino's attention lapse was just enough for Kaimana to hit a second Kryptonite Krunch and frog splash. Kaimana covered Corino just as referee Kazz crawled back into the ring. This time, Corino couldn't kick out of the pin, and Kaimana retained his title by clean pinfall. (time 22:13, ref. Kazz and Jeremy the Axe)
After the match, the Dragon Asylum and Kenjiro jumped into the ring and began attacking Kaimana. Kaniela ran to the ring to help, but they were outnumbered and soon both Hawaiian Blood members were down on the mat. The Dragon Asylum members held Kaimana and offered him to Steve Corino, but Corino attacked the Maui wrestlers.
Kenjiro grabbed a microphone and told Corino that maybe next time, since he liked Hawaii so much, he could team with "stupid Hawaiian" against Kenjiro and Kensuke.
Steve Corino grabbed another microphone, told Kaimana that he was willing to team with him since he was an honorable guy, and said that he had been misled by Mr. Oki. Corino offered to team with Kaimana to kick Oki's, Kenjiro's, and Kensuke's asses out of Hawaii. Kaimana said that he would be honored to tag with Corino. Then, Corino made an incredible offer: after they kicked Oki's, Kenjiro's, and Kensuke's asses, he and Kaimana would go at each other again in a double-title match.
