Saturday Nite Slam! 7/14/2007
Schofield Barracks
Wahiawa, Hawai'i
*For all those who are still unfamiliar with the "batsu / maru" (or X / O) system, the "batsu" or "X" means you lost, and the "maru" or "O" means you won. (Japan does their results in opposite colors though.)
Match #1
HCW Rookie Debut Match
X "The Samoan Enforcer" TILO vs MICAH TAYLOR O Very clean, and straight, Student vs Teacher match with a lot of good ol' chain wrestling, keeping it all in the ring. This was a no frills, snug "wrestling" match with lots of basics, and stayed low on the mat for the most part. Solid debut match for TILO.
Match #2
Got'cha! Match
X CHRIS DEL SOL vs THE BLUE HAWAIIAN O This was a very entertaining, colorful match, with lots of ups and downs. The "real" BLUE HAWAIIAN was mad that CHRIS DEL SOL had impersonated him a while back, but CHRIS DEL SOL is puzzled, that the BLUE HAWAIIAN was just a figment of his made-up imagination and cannot exist. However, there he was! After the match, it is revealed that this time, the BLUE HAWAIIAN was KAIMANA!Got'cha! Maybe KAIMANA's Frog Splash finisher was a "hint" for KAIMANA FANS though.
*This was a set-up for the August 11th match for the King Kamehameha Heritage World Heavyweight Title
Match #3
Give It Up Already B*tch! Match
O "Island Girl" TRACY TAYLOR vs MA HU WONG X
These two have been fighting from the day they met, but they were determined to settle this once and for all with this match, flavored with some of the most impressive kicks by TRACY TAYLOR this time. This rather whimsical feud seems still to be the #1 kids' favotite by far. So, who is the DIVA? Will the feud end NOW? Let's hope so!

Surprise Match #4
X MA HU WONG vs "Superfly" ETE O
The crowd went wild as ETE suddenly appears and starts beating on MA HU WONG, and it turns into a real match. Solid match with ETE sticking to some power moves, while MA HU WONG looked like he'd been working on his cardio! A very well paced match.
Short Intermission, Sponsored by ROCKSTAR Energy Drink

Match #5
"Samoan Stallion" ATIVALU vs KENJIRO KATAHIRA
No contest - DQ due to interference
VERY stiff fast paced match going back and forth both in and out of the ring, with multiple blows, and flawless kicks from ATIVALU. Very little mat wrestling this time. KENJIRO gave ATIVALU a mean 2 finger thrust to the throat, while ETE interfered, and at one point, planted KENJIRO one of his big Samoan bombs, slamming him down hard, outside onto the hard, bare floor, and had the "boo-ing" crowd gasping. Later, KAIMANA and MICAH also came into the ring with steel chairs, and all hell broke loose, causing REF JEREMY to call this match, no contest, as the crowd chanted loudly.
Match #6
HCW AWA Hawaiian InterIsland Title Match
O BIG DADDY FRANK (Champion) vs AHUNA (challenger) X This match was all in the ring, and was probably the stiffest match of the evening. Although the energy stayed high, the pace was slower than the previous match, which gave a good contrast for variety. Stiff multiple clotheslines by AHUNA were given to BIG DADDY FRANK. At one point, BIG DADDY FRANK bumped so hard that the entire ring shook, but he quickly turned things around and was able to hang onto the title once again.
Match #7 ~Main Event~
HCW Kekaulike World Tag Team Championship
(This is a rematch to make it "official".)
O MANU SAMOA vs TEAM KAIMANA & MICAH X
The loudest and the most crazy match of the evening. While the match has a great start, by the end, REF BILL is accidentally knocked out by MICAH, and REF JEREMY slips in to finish up the match in which he awards the win to KAIMANA and MICAH, and everyone is so happy, especially the kids in the audience are cheering big time. They are starting to celebrate, when all of a sudden, REF BILL comes to, and enforces the big rule, and awards MANU SAMOA the big win! "Accident or not, do not ever put your hands on the referee."
All in all, this show had a nice energetic "feel" and "build up" to the Main Event.
Next show: August 11th
