Harry Fujiwara was born May 4, 1935 in Honolulu, Hawaii, known best by the ring name Mr. Fuji, is recognized around the world as professional wrestler who later on would cement his legacy as one of the most despised managers in professional wrestling.
As a wrestler, Mr. Fuji held the World Wrestling Entertainment's Tag Team Championship several times with different partners including Professor Toru Tanaka with one of their reigns being the third longest tag team title reign in the WWE, and also Mr. Saito. Mr. Fuji is one of the most respected tag team wrestlers in World Wrestling Entertainment history, having held one half of the World Tag Team titles longer than any other wrestler.
Before joining the WWE, he had a career in Hawaii with Peter Maivia's promotion. He often was associated with one of Hawaii's biggest heels, Tor Kamata.
Mr. Fuji went on to manage some of the greatest superstars in all of professional wrestling including: "Cowboy Bob Orton, George "The Animal"Steele, Sika ,Kamala, Demolition (Ax & Smash), Powers of Pain (The Barbarian & The Warlord), The Berzerker, The Orient Express (Pat Tanaka & Akio Sato and later Kato), and local favorites such as Kona Crush Brian Adams, Yokozuna, and Don Muraco.
Mr. Fuji was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame on March 31, 2007 by another fellow WWE Hall of Famer with strong ties to Hawaii, former HCW Commissioner Don Muraco.
We here at Hawaii Championship Wrestling congratulate Mr. Fuji on a lifetime spent entertaining and "aggravating" fans world-wide.
He is truly an inspiration for the HCW stars of today trying to reach that proverbial "next level".
