Welcome to another HCW News and Rumors 11/27/2006!!! ;D
First a BIG MAHALO goes out to our "regular" Die Hard HCW FANS again!!! It's so nice and also amazing that no matter what else is happening in town, you keep showing up to see us, and we really do appreciate your support!!! ;D We were told that a big UH ball game was going on that night, but you came to see "us", and spend another evening with the HCW kicka$$ Ohana!!! So, thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you...!!!!!!!!!!!!!
MAHALOs are also extended to the "new" fans we met on Saturday!!! Thank you for all the kind words, cheers, jeers, and Christmas shout-outs! ...and How about that fire knife guy, KAWIKA!!??!!! Wooooooooo!!!!! Special thanks to ANDRE, and ROBERT who were also a part of the Samoan Fire Knife presentation provided by GERMAINE's LUAU...(the best luau show on the island!!!) That was so COOL!!! We will definitely do this again.
The HCW Ohana enjoyed last Saturday's show immensely and wanted to thank everyone who was a part of it! Don't forget to watch yourselves on TV too.
The HCW production team is hard at work, as we speak in the edit room to bring you the 1 hour "special" on K-5 "The Home Team" which airs Sunday, December 17th 1PM - 2PM. You'll see KAIMANA, KANIALA, AHUNA, BIG DADDY FRANK, NIGHTMARE, KENJIRO, SHIN KU, CRUSHER, MAHU WONG, KAMU, BLACK RAIN, KENZO, CHRIS DEL SOL, MATT FARMER, MR. OKI, REF. KAZZ, REF JEREMY, TROPIC ANGELS, MR. WRESTLING 2, and the "Match Of The Year"! This "special" will be out on DVD by Christmas.
(Past SATURDAY NITE SLAM! Shows will also be available on DVDs by Christmas, and on schedule.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now, let's get on with the NEWS and RUMORS! ;D
Although ZERO TOLERANCE ended up not being able to get medical clearance in time for last Saturday's show, Team Maui is planning a full scale invasion on HCW and say we haven’t seen anything yet. They say that they're only getting started! SHINKU promised us that as soon as he recovers from his knee injury, O'ahu will surely get what's coming to them! Ok...so, SHINKU sounds like he has a legit reason for not facing the O'ahu guys, but will he be 100% by the next show? Otherwise, will CRUSHER get a handicap match against Hawaiian Blood? Will Commissioner BILL APTER and President LINDA BADE keep "importing" challengers from the mainland?
Who knows... but the BIGGEST news that happened at the Saturday Nite Slam! Show was the "1 year suspension" that was slapped on NIGHTMARE when he "demanded" a crack at the Kamehameha Heritage World Heavyweight Title, and ended up with AHUNA permitting a 4 way 4 Stages of HELL match with KANIALA vs KENJIRO vs KAIMANA vs NIGHTMARE with the stipulation that if NIGHTMARE didn't win, he would be suspended from all HCW shows for a year for making such an insane and thingyy "demand". (Refer to details on the RESULTS SECTION.)
This match was the loudest, most energetic, and best "paced" of the evening and was one of the best HCW "strong style" main events in a long, long time...since HCW's Palama Gym days. For anyone out there that didn't see the show, you missed a GREAT match.
Although NIGHTMARE got what he wanted and is facing the consequences now, HCW Commissioner BILL APTER is not very happy about what went down, as the Kamehameha Heritage Championship is not to be called for on a "whim" like this, and he said he would have to take a serious look at what made HCW make such a "jabroni-like", unprofessional decision to permit something like this to happen.
Was this decision to grant NIGHTMARE his wish, because AHUNA actually had a soft spot and saw NIGHTMARE as "ohana", and thereby automatically granting him what "he" wanted, and risked what the title stood for? We might just have to wait for AHUNA's MEMOIRS to come out... lol ... as these are some unusual "moments" that can come up within a small "ohana" promotion like HCW!
If NIGHTMARE is suspended though, wouldn't HCW be down another body that we NEED?... Well...yes, but strangely, somehow people always seem to be there.
There is another new guy from Maui, KAMU who debuted on Saturday, and another one on his way, named KARMA...
There is talk around the HCW office that MATT FARMER (1/2 of SUICIDE KINGS with CHRIS DEL SOL) will bring their buddy NIKKI SIXX (former AWA SLAM Champion) from AWA Chicago to HCW.
However, MR. OKI is snickering in the background and says he has an even bigger surprise in store for HCW and our FANS! Anything coming from MR. OKI can't be GOOD news.
Another rumor that has been flying around the HCW offices is that a Mr. Unknown is trying to buy the majority stock owner share of HCW. Is he "local"? Is he from the mainland? Who can this be?
Something from the grapevines: We know that HCW is holding a wrestling "clinic" (workshop) with veterans in the biz in 2007 (We hear AFA ANOA'I and AFA JR. are headed this way), but will HCW be holding a Show on Maui too? Could this be true? What about the rumor about another mainland AWA promoter doing business with HCW President LINDA on a cross promotional (melting pot) event with HCW in spring of 2007? What AWA territory would that be? (All we know is that the guy's name is "Steve"...Who can that be?)
News and Rumors also heard from reliable sources that a Big Shot Color Commentator is coming to HCW from California in 2007. Who is this?
However, the Biggest Buzz is:
Is SAMOA JOE to return to HCW for one more match? Is this News or only a Rumor?
Stay tuned, as all these questions and more will be answered in the weeks and months to come.... ;D Only from HCW!!! ;D
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One more "announcement" before we go, please come back in a few days for the next HCW O'ahu "try-out" date(s). (The Maui info has been up for a while now, so we will switch gears to also support our O'ahu guys' endeavors at the same time.)
Those of you who signed up at the show or have emailed us, you will receive a phone call this weekend from the HCW Dojo "Training Department" regarding the new try-out date(s) and training schedule. The HCW Training Department and Coach JOHNNY WALKER look forward to seeing all those who signed up for a try-out, and the new guys who obviously have already been training extensively, from Maui. ;D Keep training hard! Afterall, someone once said, "You can't make chicken salad out if chicken _ _ _ _!" lol
With that, we will be back with more news as they develop! Also, the next event date and new poster! Until then, thank you for being with us! Love each other, and we will look forward to seeing you again soon!!! ;D
ALOHA, and PEACE....OUT.
