Aloha and welcome to another exciting edition of HCW News and Rumors!!! ;D
Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!! lol Can you feel the excitement?!
As we approach the August 11th Saturday Nite Slam!, several things have taken place for our little ohana promotion, HCW!
First, Japan's HIKARU who will face TRACY TAYLOR this Saturday night, had made a statement to our very own "Island Girl" TRACY TAYLOR, saying that although she is honored to have a match here for the Hawaii FANS, she is also looking to prove why "Japanese Women's Wrestling is "Ichiban" in the world!"
TRACY on the other hand , as a local girl and a surfer, says in the water, her motto is always, "Go BIG or Go home!", but in the ring, she always says, "Go HARD or Go Home!", and since she is already home...there is only one thing to do...
How hard will TRACY have to go to send HIKARU home? Let's find out, this Saturday!
If TRACY wins, she will be awarded an opportunity to go to Japan on a regular basis to further expand her abilities, against a diverse variety of opponents, and maybe even bring some of them back, right here to Hawaii! That would be cool!
Let's all keep our fingers crossed, as we will find out: at Saturday Nite Slam! August 11th at TROPICS Family Entertainment Center, on Schofield Barracks. Bell time is 7PM. so don't be late! ;D
In other news~
MANU SAMOA goes Hollywood?!
MANU SAMOA will be making their first mainland appearance on Sunday, August 26th at the L.A. Inoki Dojo! Who will they face? All we know is that Inoki Dojo Promoter, HIROKO BAISHO INOKI has a couple of guys on their main roster who think they can handle the SAMOAN POWER!!!....
Stay tuned to find out just who they will face. Is this another way into Japan? Although NJPW is hard to get to, you never know..., as HIROKO says MANU SAMOA's opponents are those who have experience in the NJPW ring ..Let's not forget, both JYUSHIN "Thunder" LIGER and TIGERMASK 4, who are past challengers for the KEKAULIKE WORLD TAG TITLES were also regulars with NJPW, so stay tuned!
Come back and find out...
Good News! ;D
You may have already heard, but both KAIMANA and MICAH TAYLOR made it on the card for the AWA TAG TEAM TURMOIL! www.awastars.com The AWA Office has been overwhelmed with the response to this years AWA Annual “Quest for the Gold Tag-Team Championship Tournament", October 5th and 6th in Waukesha, Wisconsin! ;D
Stay tuned to find out the final line up and agenda for the 2-day Super Event! If KAIMANA and MICAH come home with the titles, they will make history by becoming Hawaii's first ever AWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS in the history of Hawaiian Pro Wrestling and the AWA itself! We have had a few past AWA WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS like ED FRANCIS (who actually did live here though) & BILLY ROBINSON(not from here), NICK BOCKWINKLE (not from here) and RAY STEVENS (not from here), and more, and although they wrestled here, they were not "from" here. It is very strange that no complete tag team (both men) "from Hawaii" has ever held these titles before. KAIMANA and MICAH will be the very first, "if" they win!!!
We will keep you posted on this tour.

Last but not least :
Here's the news that broke out with "rumors" first from Japan...
NEW PRESIDENT OF THE AMERICAN WRESTLING ASSOCIATION NAMED
Here's the announcement to the AWA members on the decision that came from the main AWA Office in Minnesota today, through unanimous vote by the Board Of Directors of the AWA:
From the desk of AWA CEO, DALE GAGNE
We’ve been taking a close look at our overall company direction and how we market our brand. Accordingly, in the wake of the tragedy our business experienced last month, we’re making the changes necessary to provide more realism, professionalism and family friendly events.... I’m pleased to announce the appointment of AWA Hawaii Promoter LINDA BADE as the new President of the AWA! ;D
Here's what really went down: www.awastars.com/columns.html#lindaprez
;D What does this mean for the wrestlers of HCW? It just means more exposure, more opportunities for those who want to expand their careers into a much larger talent pool. Also a great incentive to step up Hawaii's game, as a whole.
This is not just an HCW thing. It is a Hawaii thing, a US thing and a Worldwide thing. Get on the AWA Worldwide roster if you think you have what it takes! Remember, the door is open to those who want it. It's up to you to walk through it. If you are satisfied with where you are, and don't have a desire to get better, move forward, and expand... or are letting your ego slow you down, then this is not an invitation for you.
All those who are serious, and want to do this for real, with a "good attitude",...you know who you are, and you know where we are. Out of state inquiries also welcome!
Send demo dvds to HCW (Hawai'i) or to the AWA Office (Minnesota).
Promoters wanting to join the AWA may also inquire through us! International promotions also welcome! We are ready to kicka$$!!! ;D
