Aloha, The show the other night was good, but I'm confused about a few things. First, where did all the talent go? There were only 5 matches (well, 8 if you count the last match seperate), and the same people were in almost all the matches. Second, I don't quite understand why Kenjiro loses a title shot for refusing a drug test, yet Nightmare gets suspended for a year because he asked for a title shot? That doesn't quite make sense. I think refusing a drug test is alot more serious than asking for a title shot. Maybe Kenjiro should get the 1-year suspension, and Nightmare doesn't get a title shot for 1-year. And, since HCW is "family" entertainment, why do you have a character named "Ma Hu Wong?" And why is Mr. Oki using vulgar language in his posts? I don't mean to cause any negative feelings regarding this post, but I just felt like, as a fan, HCW should be more aware of things that seem to go unnoticed. Mahalo for time and see you at the next show.

Thanks for your post wrestlingwizard! Oh no, it doesn't sound like a negative comment at all, and a very honest one, so don't worry. We aren't taking it that way at all, and appreciate your candid "thoughts" and "feelings". Yes! Strange but true! ;D lol!!! That's a good idea, but that's not how it went down, is all. As for the talent? A few are still out with injuries (related to and unrelated to wrestling). AHUNA still doesn't have medical clearance, BIG DADDY FRANK was out with an infection (but recovering well, thank you), KENZO still recovering from an injured ankle, MR. SPA FITNESS healed just in time for the show from a couple of lacerations to his fingers), SHINKU hurt his knees when he was tossed out of the ring during a royal rumble a couple of shows back, but these things happen, and the shows are GOOD, so we are happy that we can cover for them creatively in the meantime, while introducing new talent at the same time! Having said that, we would rather suspend KENJIRO instead of NIGHTMARE and keep homosexuality out, but sexuality is "subjective", and not necessarily anyone's business UNLESS he crosses the line somehow...and then, well... you ALL "know" LINDA! She's not the most easy person to work with when it comes to something like that, so yeah... you can bet MR. WONG's being "watched" alright! lol You are right. MR. OKI is an extremely "vulgar" man. He is a BAD example for kids. This is no way for "anyone" to behave, and we wish that he would keep his mouth shut!!! Yeah, you are right... there are a LOT of things that HCW should do and it is only the beginning! That's for sure... Thanks for being attentative! It's attention to the little details that make a BIG difference! I hope LINDA is reading your post, because it does make sense. MAHALO nui loa, for your very constructive criticisms, and comments! Aloha, ~Admin

Before I am asked to explain my actions by commissioner Apter and president Bade, I just wanna say that it's not as confusing as you're making it..
In regards to the talent not being here.. I'm guessing you're talking about those who have departed.. Sad but true, there does come a time when every wrestler needs to consider their future whether it be wrestling, or life in general.. Sometimes they base their decisions on rumors, sometimes they base them on truly how they feel about the direction of their " characters ".. Who knows? Only they do, but they made their decision and HCW has come to accept it and we're moving forward.. As for the guys who stayed, well the administrator w/ the approval of the HCW executive board has explained what's up w/ them..
Next.. I stated we're moving forward.. The nightmare situation was a tough one for me because I know we're not a company with a whole lot of firepower, but nonetheless we're a company that will not tolerate those who are too demanding.. While it's true that to get ahead in this business you gotta make a stand, nightmare made one too many stands.. For the past 3 or 4 shows, nightmare kept demanding title matches.. Being the equal opportunist that I am, I granted him his wishes.. Now I can be your perverbial genie in a bottle so to speak, but at some point you just run out of wishes.. If you keep demanding, at some point you will owe me.. That's exactly what happened to nightmare.. I bare no ill-will, or any hatred, or jealousy towards nightmare.. He is a very talented individual who has nothing but the best in store for his future, but at some point, you just gotta wait your turn.. I admire his enthusiasm for making these request, and you would think i'd at least get a thank you, but I got none.. Rest assured that's not why I made the stipulation.. If it was such a hard thing for him to take, he wouldn't have accepted it now would he?
As for Ma-Hu Wong... I've stated we're E.O.E. We recieved a call, and curiosity got the better part of us, so unfortunately we traveled to the land of unicorn and rainbows, better known as the country part of Kaneohe? lol... We checked it out, and decided he'd be a good acquisition for the company.. Granted his demeanor in the ring is a little border line, we can't rule out the fact that his performance and atheliticism is great.. We'll speak to 'em about tonig himself down as far as his " sexual " actions in the ring..
Kenjiro... He didn't want to submit to a drug screening if his own personal medical advisors weren't present.. They weren't able to fly in for it in time for the show, so we decided ( Kenjiro as well ), that his quest for the title be upheld until further notice..
As for myself, I know I made some questionable decisions this past show, and even the ones before, but you gotta admit, it was edgy and kept people thinking.. I've been notified by commissioner Apter and president Bade about my hasty and questionable decisions stating it's bad business and a little border line, but all is not lost.. They haven't come up with a final verdict yet as far as taking any actions against me, so i'm just gonna assume that it's all good for now until further notice.. They know me though.. I'll take it no matter what.. So for now we'll just have to wait and see..
ALOHA!!!!

It was a good show! I don't think HCW should get hung up on picking apart anything sexual anyway. It doesn't matter if Mahu Wong is gay or not. What is good is the wrestling. If it is about family entertainment, then even heterosexual things shouldn't be the focus, and it isn't. That is what makes it work. It should be about wrestling. Nobody is crossing any lines as far as I am concerned. I am an HCW believer. Thank you for another great night of HCW wrestling!
See you next show!

First off i am noticed that my name is poppping up though out this whole forum and all because my sexuallity. Really why out of all the things you could be bringing up like the girls and how they dress or the extreme violence that was shown in the main event this past saturday, that you would bring up me and my sexuallity and how its not family entertainment. come on now all over the world there are gays and lesbians and you want to single me out because i want to wrestle, Well how come you dont make a big deal about the other flamboyantly charming men that have wrestled time and time again all over the world. Another thing is i keep it pg 13 so i think people really need to get glasses and see whats really happening in the ring.
As for the people that have brought this subject up to the staff and board about the fact that a guy like me shouldn't be in wrestling, i would like to thank you for making me realize that there are still some people in the world that are still in the CLOSET.
AND REALLY THE NEXT SHOW SINCE THERE ARE SO MANY PROBLEMS ABOUT MY SEXUALITY IM GONNA LEAVE A BOX RIGHT THERE ON THE STAGE FOR ANYONE THAT HATES WHAT IM ABOUT TO WRITE IT ON A PAPER AND SHOVE IT.

Aloha to the admin and Ahuna. I really appreciate your responses, and I guess I have caused a bit of a stir about the whole Mahu Wong thing. And to Mahu himself, hey, mahus are people, too. I know. I'm not questioning your sexuality, nor am I questioning the whole topic of whether or not homosexuality should be involved in a "family entertainment" atmosphere. But, to have "Mahu" in your name, is more what I was getting at. Plus, "Wong" is also a slang term for the male organ. Maybe a better choice of a name was what I was suggestion, although it is a pretty slick play on words. Just don't want all the keikis to run around school calling people "mahu" because they act like da kine. I think Ahuna is doing a great job runnings things, and respect him for doing the right thing and not allowing Kenjiro a title shot until the drug testing is done. However, this opens up a whole other story about, is there a time limit? Is he going to buy some cheap urine-cleaning kit online? There's got to be more to this than simply the terse comments here. I guess I would be more interested in this story if it was better developed, as the topic is a great one to touch on. I know that some of the wrestlers left, and HCW is doing a really good job of trying to create new ones, and I think the show was done well with the talent on-hand. I guess I didn't realize how many were missing all at once until then. Nonetheless, the show was still fun. Ref. Jeremy needs to eat some wheaties in the morning, then maybe hit some weights in the afternoon, and maybe get on Mr. Spa Fitness' program. He's a twig. I think Oki could take him, easily. Ref. Kaz, on the other hand, needs to stop going to the McD's drive-thru four times a day in between studying how to count to three. Oki could take him two. It be great to see a handicap match between Mr. Oki and the two refs! ;D

Yes, wrestlingwizard, I too was surprised that a few no-showed, and got cut, a little while back. I was at the show when that happened, and appreciated Ahuna and Kaimana's message to us. That was a blow to us fans. (I guess you missed that show.) I don't blame HCW for cutting them, because that is pretty unprofessional. I like HCW and where they are heading. The wrestling is still the Best. I have seen HCW take risks that other promotions probably wouldn't. I have to say that HCW makes brave decisions, and I think the shows are tighter now even with less people. Also, introducing several new talent here in Hawaii is great! The match with Kamu was solid. I would love to see more of him. I like the HCW attitude.
I also have to admit that even though the Kenjiro verdict could have been more severe, I am glad he didn't get suspended. I have to say that he is one of the top wrestlers in HCW besides Kaimana, Kaniala, and Nightmare. Those are my favorites. I like the way you guys went back to the old format of the 5-6 good matches, because doing 7 is a bit too long. Well, it is easy for us to criticize. Props to HCW for putting on the shows for us! Last Saturday's show was just right. So, Thank you!

This is a GOOD discussion, and I wanted to jump in too! Wrestlingwizard..Regarding your reference to a man's "da kine" as "Wong" What the heck are you bringing up on our message board? lol!!! Good lord! I never heard that before. Correct me if I'm wrong (or should I say "Wong"? lol!!!), and maybe I've been hangin' around some naive people, and I may be one of them, but I always thought it was referred to as "Wang", or "Dong". Mahu or Ma Hu is Chinese. So is Wong. So, check it out...Are you saying that if there was a Chinese wrestler named "Dung", you will say that that means "doo-doo" !!! What the...!? So what if his name is Mahu or (Ma Hu) Wong? Why don't you watch him wrestle?!!! That's what he works hard at...WRESTLING!!! ;D Why is Mahu a BAD word? Let's explore this! Is it like the "N" word used by blacks OR by nonblacks? OR... is it used more like Nigga'? ...and if you are one (black person) and calling yourself one, why is that ok, and not by other people who aren't? Gay people call each other Mahus all the time! So, we're not going to make a big deal about this and cause Mr. WONG any heartaches. I like him! ;D He's FUN to watch, and he can kicka$$ too!!! Being "flamboyant" is not a bad thing at all! He's really FUN! Frankly, I think there are way worse children's programming out there, so you should complain about that instead. If you have kids, I suggest you spend some time watching the Cartoon Network with them sometime and watch what's out there now. So, as long as we are not shoving "any kind" of sexuality in their faces, (which we're not) I think we are doing a great job in the family entertainment department. Afterall, we are a Pro Wrestling Promotion "first". So, let's not forget that. I agree with Mr. Wong. I find him to be PG-13, so until I see him (or anyone else) doing something that is "morally" bad or corrupt, I am HAPPY he wants to wrestle for HCW, and his sexual preference doesn't make a difference! Therefore, let me publicly say "MAHALO" for wrestling in HCW! WELCOME TO OUR HUMBLE OHANA! We are proud to have you!!! ;D "Pupukahi i holomua!" Thanks for hearing me out! See you at the next show! ~Linda P.S. Greatzero, MAHALO for the kind words and encouragement! ;D

Oki vulgar? What I use too big words for stupid people or something? I never used any 4 letter words in any postings or at the shows. I maybe a bad guy but I do not go beyond the boundries of bad language. As for Mahuwong, he not do anything more than the ambiguous gay dou of Cholo and Kris when they were with HCW. No one had any problems with them, but now that they are gone its a problem? Have you seen what is going on WWE on tv and all the other shows with women with barely anything on? Its OK to have very *friendly* persons but gays is a nono? Seems to me that you are just jealous that Mahuwong looks better than you or can date. I may not like mahus, Hawaiians or Pres. Linda but at least I don't have closed mind like yours. So go home and tug on your daddy's skirt.

You ARE, sir ...in the eyes of good, decent people. You also have a crooked mean streak that rubs everyone the wrong way! However, I must admit that you are not "censorship" vulgar. So, maybe you are NOT as much as people "THINK" you are. If they think you are "censorship" bad, then obviously they just haven't seen you, and therefore don't really "know" the shows, and how clever you are. (Gosh, I hate saying that! Somehow I'm fighting using the word "clever" with MR. OKI ! lol!!! ) Never the less are you a good example of someone kids wouldn't want to grow up to be like, and we're sticking to this. Don't be so proud that you haven't used any four letter words or not crossed the censorship line, because we ALL "know" you are BAD NEWS!!! So, you can NEVER sugar coat your sleazy personality, MR. OKI!!! ...and don't worry, we don't like you or your stupid, trouble making non-team player, friend KENJIRO either!!!

Wong is nothing like those now defunct, 2 guys from a long time ago, who Mr. Oki describes as the ambiguously gay duo. Now, those guys often made some questionable gestures, and faded away quickly. I don't see this guy fading away easily like that. He seems more serious for a rookie wrestler. Also, because of his size, Wong is quite a bit lighter on his feet, and more potentially NIGHMARE-like. From what I saw on 11/25, he was also well received by both the kids and the ladies too. I wouldn't be surprised to see him climb up the HCW ladder.

OMG.... Wrestling Hawaii coming to Mr. Oki's defense? And saying something nice about him??? I think I need to sit down... It's good to have converstations about sensitive topics such as homosexuality. It keeps things open and honest. I didn't realize it was going to expand beyond the scope of my original question of Ma Hu's name, but so be it. And Mr. Oki, if you saw my wife, you would be pulling Yens out of your scrawny white behind to try and buy her up. But I do love your pose on the posters with the peace sign. You're a funny guy!!! ;D

lol!!! I was defending the "SHOWS". The kids also know what a "scum bag" Mr. Oki really is, without resorting to using any foul language. Yeah, true..true.. lol!!! I think he would be doing that if he saw your wife, and the kids know that's a BAD and pathetic example of how we should behave, as decent human beings. We are confident on our "status", and messages we are sending out there, as well as the WRESTLING...which of course is always the "focal" point of the shows. ;D All in all, we are still having FUN, and putting out a product we are proud of and that's the main thing. Thanks for the posts!

Mr Oki... and a shoot where he is getting beat up by little kids for being a bad, bad, man...... That would be cool! Like I said, I think HCW is going in positive direction coming out of this yet another "split." Or however you care to refer to it as. I just find it entertaining to read ridiculous things like watcher... I wish he would come back on and say something. Or, does he realize already that he made himself look foolish for saying such baka.... (I learned THAT from Mr. Oki. ) aloha.
